All Games in Squid Game Season 1-
1 Red Light, Green Light-
The first challenge in the Squid Game is “Red Light, Green Light.” The game is an old children’s game in which the players move ahead when “Green Light” is called and statue when “Red Light” is announced. In Squid Game, death is the prize for losing.
In this game, the giant doll sits at the head end, turning around to watch when players move; when its back is turned to the players, they move ahead. Whenever it turns back and catches the player moving, then that player has to be disqualified.
The finish line is then crossed within time without being detected moving on “Red Light.”. This is one of the all games in Squid Game.
Every game is based on a simple childhood rule, but the stakes are life and death. “Red Light, Green Light” sets the tone on how dangerous all the games are in this deadliest competition.
2. Dalgona (Honeycomb)-
Dalgona Honeycomb is one of the easiest games and at the same time one of the hardest games in Squid Game. Players are given a flat piece of sugar candy, which has a shape that is circular, triangular, star, or umbrella.
The task is to cut out the shape without it breaking. Each of the players has to draw along the borders of the shape using a small needle. In case the candy breaks, the game is lost.
The problem is how delicate the candy is. The contestants should remain composed and take their time so as not to break the shape. Many contestants lick the candy to soften it before cutting. This raises the tension since everyone is in a hurry.
Dalgona Honeycomb is hard to win, though easy to understand, just like all other games in the series. A simple game requires huge concentration, even if it is only for survival purposes.
This particular game is among childhood favorites for Korean children, but it definitely gets a very dark twist as shown in this show.
3. Tug of War-
One of the intense challenges in all games in Squid Game is Tug of War. In childhood we all played tug of war, and we know how hard it is to win this game.
The game is played on a high platform with two teams pulling on a rope in a manner to make the opposing team fall off to death. This game is therefore not just a game of strength but also of survival.
The key to winning isn’t just pulling hard; it’s teamwork and strategy. In Squid Game, one character teaches that standing firm and leaning back helps balance the team. Coordinating each pull and holding your ground can overpower even a stronger team.
This version of Tug of War shows trust in the teammates since everything counts. The survival would have been based upon teamwork even with extreme pressure.
It’s actually a life-or-death game. The Squid Game is taken as a basis for a traditional game. The stakes bring it into being as a struggle where something so ordinary becomes brutal to test. The strength in the situation would never be enough in such a case.

4. Marbles-
Marbles is one of the six games featured in Squid Game. In this game, there are two teams of two. Each player is given 10 marbles.
The objective of the game is to win all the marbles from your partner. Any game involving marbles can be played, but players must agree on the rules first.
For example, you might guess how many marbles he or she has in his hand, or play a game to determine whose marble reaches the target point.
The twist is that only one person from each team will survive. The moment someone loses all their marbles, the other wins and moves on. It is not about strength or speed but strategy and luck.
This game becomes emotional because many pairs include friends or close partners, forcing one to sacrifice the other. Out of all the games in Squid Game, marbles tests trust and human nature the most. It shows how survival challenges relationships and decisions.
5. The Glass Bridge-
The Glass Bridge is one of the riskiest games in Squid Game. During this game, all players need to cross the extremely long glass-made bridge.
On such a long glass bridge, players have to make some steps without any knowledge regarding whether the specific part of the glass will support the weight of that player or shatter when someone steps on it.
This becomes even harder, as it’s timed, and a player needs to move quickly or be gone. It’s most dangerous to go first since they don’t have a clue about what they will face.
The rest can see but still take lots of chances. As is true with all Squid Game games, survival comes through luck and strategy. Glass Bridge demonstrates how trust and fear decide the fate of survivors and casualties. That’s one of the most intense parts of the show.
6. Squid Game-
Okay, so in the final game of Squid Game, it is only two players left: Gi-hun and Sang-woo. They are playing the real “Squid Game,” which is a children’s game they used to play when they were young.
The game is pretty simple: one person attacks, trying to reach a goal, and the other defends. But here, it’s not a game anymore—it’s a fight to the death.
In the fight, Gi-hun and Sang-woo really make it brutal. At one point, Gi-hun has his chance to win and kill Sang-woo, but he holds back.
He does not want to win like this. He gives Sang-woo his offer to stop the game, because they do not have to do this. However, Sang-woo chose to end his life, leaving Gi-hun to win.
It’s very sad and is indicative of how much they have both changed. In the end, Seong Gi-hun wins the prize money, but he is clearly broken by everything that happened.
All Games in Squid Game Season 2-
1. Bread and Lottery-
In the series, bread shows up at times of hunger and desperation. It reminds us how difficult life can be when you have nothing. The lottery, however, is about luck and a hope for change.
The contestants in Squid Game are similar to individuals in the real world who hope to win the lottery and get out of their issues. But in the game, the price of taking a risk is your life.
The series combines these concepts to show how individuals cope with poverty, risk, and survival. Bread represents struggling to get basic needs met, and the lottery is about hope, even though the odds are against it.
It’s a powerful message about what individuals will do when they feel they have no other option.
In my opinion, this scene shows how people want to get quite rich without effort when they are hungry and they need food but then choose (lottery) the future instead of the present.
2. Rock, Paper, Scissors, Minus One–
We all know about this game that is Rock, Paper, Scissors, but in the series this game has a twist. The rules are simple: two players choose rock, paper, or scissors at the same time.
But there’s a twist: In this game, you have to play with both hands, and both players have to fold back their hands at the same time.
3. Russian Roulette-
In the Squid Game version, Russian Roulette involves the game’s players risking death. Here, players sit face to face; the gun goes around two persons who, when their turn is called, place the barrel in front of them and shoot each other’s heads.
With one bullet only, it means there’s a probability it shoots, but there is also a chance it does not. It’s scary because you don’t know when it is going to go off. So, if the gun fires, the player dies, and the other one wins the game.

5. Six-Legged Pentathlon:
The Six-Legged Pentathlon in Squid Game is a unique challenge. Five Players are tied together in pairs, making them act as if they share six legs. They must complete five tasks as a team, one after another, without falling or failing.
- Ddakji (flipping paper tiles)
- Flying Stone (knocking over a stone by throwing another)
- Gong-gi (a game involving tossing and catching small stones)
- Spinning Top (spinning a top successfully)
- Jegi (6 Continuous kicking a shuttlecock-like object in the air)
6. Mingle:
In this game, everyone has to stand together in one place on a rotating platform. Music is started; when the music ends, a number is given, and people of the same number have to form groups and go to a room. Those who remain outside get eliminated.
