Main characters often find themselves between two extremely difficult decisions, much like in the Vinland Saga. While animation is not the best of anime, in fighting scenes, it’s really workable.
As a whole, the anime series is pretty enjoyable for historical anime fans. It focuses on battles and personal development. Great if you want a quantity of politics with a side of sword fighting.

Berserk is an action-packed dark fantasy anime that is popular all over the world. The story of the anime revolves around Guts, who is the last hope and the only survivor with a tragic past.
The anime is grainy and brutal with battles, danger, and deep emotional conflicts. However, it is not just fighting, the story and plot explore survival, revenge, and the dark sides of humanity.
Guts is a brilliant hero who fights against incredible odds and also fights the demons in his soul. The world is cruel and full of monsters, and the characters’ interactions feel real and powerful.
Also, the animation is very beautiful, especially during the action scenes in battles, Because of the 1997 animation, it feels a bit old but it is worth watching.
Berserk is a similar anime like Vinland Saga, but it has its own unique story. Many fans say that it will shock you, but after watching Berserk you will say damn what the hell did I just watch.
You will definitely relate to guts, and I think Guts is the most suffering character in the whole anime universe after Yuji Itadori.
