3. Seraph of the End: (Owari no Seraph)
Seraph of the End is an interesting anime. It had a weird premise: a virus wipes out most of humanity, but all of the children somehow live. Vampires then appear and enslave the remaining survivors, including our hero, Yuichiro Hyakuya.
Fast forward through the story: Yuichiro on the run, swears revenge on the vampires who killed his family. Actually, one of the strong points of this series is its pacing.
It doesn’t really waste much time planting trees and getting to the process. You feel the weight of Yuichiro’s rage and decision right from the beginning, furiously driving much of the plot.
The anime does a very great balance between intense action and quiet moments across the development of their characters so that their struggles can be felt.
